Our Team

Three people on one small island who make sure your car is ready, clean and waiting where it should be.

The People Behind 4Drive Praslin

Praslin is a small island, and we are a small team - deliberately. Everyone you deal with, from the booking confirmation to the handover at arrivals or the jetty, is on this page. We live here, we drive the same coast road every day, and when something needs solving during your trip, one of these three phones rings.

Marcel Hoareau, Founder and Manager

Marcel Hoareau

Founder & Manager

Cote d'Or, Praslin

Rental and transfer desks on Mahe, 2012-2019

Marcel grew up between Baie Sainte Anne and Cote d'Or and spent seven years working arrival desks on Mahe before coming home to start 4Drive. His idea was simple: visitors to Praslin should get their keys in minutes, not queue at a counter. He still confirms most bookings himself.

Nadia Payet, Airport and Jetty Lead

Nadia Payet

Airport & Jetty Lead

Praslin Island Airport & Baie Sainte Anne

With 4Drive since 2021

Nadia is usually the first face you see: she meets the Mahe flights at Praslin Island Airport and the Cat Cocos ferry at the jetty, walks you to the car and gets the paperwork done in about ten minutes. She tracks every arrival, so a delayed flight or a missed ferry never means a cancelled pickup.

Kevin Adeline, Vehicle Care

Kevin Adeline

Vehicle Care

Grand Anse, Praslin

Mechanic by trade, with 4Drive since 2022

Kevin checks every car between rentals against a fixed list: brakes, tyres, lights, air conditioning, cleanliness. Salt air and hill starts are hard on cars, and he is the reason ours feel newer than their plates suggest. If a car does not pass his check, it does not go out.

How We Work

Small Team, Direct Answers

No call centres and no ticket queues. The person who replies to your email is one of the three people above, and they can actually fix your problem, not just log it.

Every Car Checked by Kevin's Rules

Each vehicle is inspected between rentals against a fixed checklist. What you collect is what the photos promised.

We Live Here

Advice on this site comes from residents, not a content farm. When we say the hill road to Anse Lazio needs first gear at the top, it is because we drove it this week.
